The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

    • 32 bars (two minutes) from a contemporary Broadway musical
    • Bring sheet music IN YOUR KEY, marked as needed
    • Accompanist provided
    • Tapes, CDs or MP3 are also perfectly fine
  • Dance
    • You will learn and perform a short dance combo
    • Please dress for movement (dancewear, dance shoes, etc.)

Seymour Krelborn G4G2 Insecure, shy, and naive but well-meaning and loyal. He is a genuinely nice guy although he is a bit of a nerd.
Audrey G4G2 Beautiful, sweet, and vulnerable. She lacks education and self-worth due to an abusive childhood and boyfriend.
Mr. Mushnik G4G2 Jewish owner of the failing flower shop. He hates his job in the family business. He can be stingy and dishonest and complains in Yiddish.
Orin Scrivello G4G2 An egotistic, abusive, and narcissistic dentist. He is demented and sadistic. Tall, dark and handsome, there is a little of Elvis in him.
Audrey II Voice G4G2 Provides the voice of the plant from offstage. The plant is evil, violent, and manipulative. It sings in the style of blues / R&B.
Audrey II Puppeteer Puppeteer who brings the plant to life. Should be fit in order to manipulate the large plant.
Urchins F5Ab3 A diverse group of street urchins, who act as a Greek chorus and as narrators. Young, hip, and smart, they must move well. Strong harmony singing required
Ensemble A diverse ensemble is needed. Seeking up to 8M & 8W who are strong singer/dancers, to provide vocal support, and perform all smaller roles.
