Life Sucks
January 17-February 2
Written by Aaron Posner
Directed by Jason Berner
In this modern reboot of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, Vanya is living a life of not-very-quiet desperation on his late sister’s estate. Vanya’s frustrations increase with a visit from his pompous brother-in-law and his new, much younger wife – who also happens to be the object of Vanya’s hopeless affection. Throughout the play, Vanya and his old friends, relatives, ex-lovers, and lifelong frenemies grapple with each other and life’s thorniest questions, chief among them the degree to which Life does or does not, in fact, Suck.

City of Angels
March 7 - 23, 2025
Book by Larry Gelbart, Music by Cy Coleman, Lyrics by David Zippel
Directed by G.A. Klein,
City of Angels is a satirical musical comedy that pays homage to the 1940s film noir genre, and Hollywood's Golden Age. The show explores two interwoven storylines: One portrays novelist Stine's struggles to adapt his detective novel into a screenplay while he tries to adjust to the fast-paced temptations of Los Angeles. The other takes place within the world of the film he's creating, following the character of P.I. Stone as he takes on the mean streets and fights for survival throughout his investigations.
Featuring a fantastic, jazz-infused score, City of Angels won six Tonys on Broadway, including Best Musical, Best Score/Lyrics, Best Lead Actor, Best Featured Actress, and Best Scenic Design.

Sylvia
June 6 - 22, 2025
By A. R. Gurney
Directed by Carlene Coury,
This comedy begins by introducing Greg and his wife, Kate, both middle aged and both empty nesters. Enter Sylvia - an exuberant and beautiful lab/poodle mix, astray in Central Park - who is looking for a new home. For Greg and Sylvia, it’s love at first sight! Kate is less than thrilled by the clever and coquettish canine who takes Greg’s attention away from his marriage. It is only when Greg is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice that Kate is able to see Sylvia not as a threat, but as a new member of her family. A. R. Gurney’s Sylvia is a smart, silly, sophisticated, and occasionally salty comedy about relationships, nature, and growing older.
